Waking up at 5 AM every Morning.

Todays Blog is about how and why to wake up at 5 AM every morning.
Why wake up at 5?
Let's talk about why you should get up at 5 AM. First of all and most important, you basically have more time for the things that matter. You can take care of the things you need to get done in the mornings and have more time during the day for yourself or you could even take the rest of the day off if you don't have anything urgent. Also you can declare a so-called "Highlight of the Day". "Highlight of the Day" is a Method of getting the things done you want to achieve personally. I read about it a few months ago in a Book by Jake Knapp and John Zeratsky called "Make Time" (You can buy it here if you want).
It works like this: In the mornings or in the afternoons you define a Highlight for the day. This can be something you wanted to do for a while but didn't find the time. Then you plan your day. You block some time for your Highlight. This way you'll finally achieve your personal goals.
Also, a lot of people are more productive in the mornings. Even if you're not a morning person (Trust me i was not a Morning Person Either😅). Just try and see!
Another Advantage is that, you can have a fixed routine. If you start the day with a routine you will have a lot more structure and overall value in your day.
How to wake up at 5
So the thing is... I hate to say it but if your body needs a lot of sleep, you need to go to bed earlier. Try out yourself how much sleep you need to be well rested (I personally don't need much sleep). If you are someone like me, you are probably going to bed and struggle to sleep because you are overthinking the silliest moments of your life. To prevent that, I recommend listening to music. It can be the spotify Sleep-Playlist, LO-FI or even the music you hear on daily basis will help. At some point that one stopped working for me though, so it's preferable to listen to music without lyrics. You can use the sleeptimer function, that way the music won't play the whole night.
My next Tip is to do it gradually. So don't wake up at 5 AM right away. Let's say you usally wake up at 8 AM. At first, you should wake up at 7 or 7:30. Then you go further to 6 or 6:30. And so on until you reach 5 AM. Because if you normally wake up at 8 and then suddenly you wake up at 5 everyday, your body just won't play along. You'll probably will be really exhausted and you won't be able to stay awake.
And also, this one doesn't correspond to me, but if your body reacts to caffeine a lot, you shouldn't drink caffeine containing drinks a lot in the evenings.
Get out of bed and don't get in again! To achieve this one, I would suggest puting your alarm on the other side of the room. That way you'll get out of bed and see no point in getting back to it. You also should make your bed instantly so that you aren't tempted to go back into it.
And last but not least, be consistent. Do it everyday. Don't stop. And don't change the time everyday. Don't wake up at 5 one time and the next day at 9. Wake up at 5 AM without any if's or but's.
